A new advocacy group-building advocate for the travel industry launches today with the promise of "streamlining the creation of travel consumer campaigns."
The Coalition for Legitimate Automation Protocols and Travel-Related Application Programming, a public relations firm, provides off-the-shelf kits including step-by-step instructions for creating snappy names, eye-catching logos and press materials "guaranteed" to draw interest from industry media outlets.
"We offer customized solutions for those interested in creating advocacy groups, standards-making bodies and other types of associations to promote openness and transparency," according to a Coalition statement.
The group is similar to a firm created in 2007 through the merger of B2B mouthpiece Building Unity Logically and Legitimately and advocacy group Standards for Hocking Internet Travel. That entity, however, failed to attract client organizations and folded after a secret September 2009 meeting in Austin, Texas.
